Ofsted and Our Commitment to Progress

At our Federation of Schools, we are committed to continuous improvement and providing the best possible education for all our pupils. Since 2023, all three schools in our Federation have undergone Ofsted inspections, and while there are areas identified that require improvement, we are proud of the significant progress we have made over the past two years.

Our School Development Plan outlines the latest initiatives we are working on, which include:

  • Curriculum Development: Ensuring that our curriculum is broad, balanced, and challenging for all pupils.
  • Assessment of Learning: Strengthening our methods for assessing and tracking pupil progress to ensure we meet their individual needs.
  • Support for SEND Pupils: Adapting lessons and approaches to provide targeted support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

These initiatives are key to our ongoing improvement journey and reflect our determination to provide an outstanding educational experience for every child.

Strengths in Personal Development and Behaviour

One of the key strengths highlighted by Ofsted is our focus on personal development and positive behaviour. At our schools, we prioritise fostering a positive and supportive environment where every child can thrive. Ofsted recognised that our approach to personal development, which includes robust pastoral care and a comprehensive PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic) curriculum, is integral to ensuring that children are well-rounded, confident, and prepared for life beyond school.

We are particularly proud of the efforts we make to promote positive behaviour and the wide range of opportunities we offer our children to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. This focus on personal development continues to be a cornerstone of our approach, ensuring that children feel safe, respected, and ready to succeed.

A Collaborative Approach

As a Federation, we are able to work collaboratively across our schools, sharing best practices and ensuring consistency in our approach to education. By focusing on key areas such as curriculum development and supporting SEND pupils, we leverage the expertise and experience of all our staff to create a cohesive educational experience for our pupils.

Our collaborative approach aligns with our vision of being "all different, all equal" and helps every child "let their colours shine" and "be the best they can be." Working together ensures that we maintain high standards across our schools while celebrating the individual strengths of each setting.

Our Improvement Journey

We acknowledge that there is always room for improvement, and we are fully committed to continuing our journey of growth and development. While there are areas identified in our Ofsted reports that require improvement, we are confident that the progress we’ve made so far, alongside our ongoing initiatives, position us well to continue delivering an exceptional educational experience.

We are excited about the future and the steps we are taking to ensure that every child in our Federation receives the support, challenge, and opportunities they need to succeed.

We encourage you to explore the Ofsted inspection reports for each of our schools below, where you will find more detailed information on our strengths and areas for improvement.
